In Stop Having That Same Old Fight, we'll share concepts and tools we've developed that radically changed our relationship and the relationships of others who have learned and used our methods.
This 8-week course will be taught live with weekly talks plus Q&A sessions. The talks will be recorded for review or later viewing. Those who can't attend the live session will be able to watch the video and submit questions, which we'll answer in the next meeting.
Each week we'll focus on a specific skill and give you understandable, doable assignments that will help you use our tools and concepts to develop new, more useful skills and behaviors.
A fillable, illustrated eWorkbook, with descriptions of the concepts, explanations of the tools, and practice prompts is included with the course.
Gretta met Bill at a friend's 13th birthday party where Bill played his guitar for the first time in public, serenading the gathering with Mr. Tamborine Man and the entire 26 minutes of Alice's Restaurant.
They joined forces to raise money for the starving children of Biafra, discuss philosophy and religion in Sunday school and win best actor and actress in the high school production of “Pride and Prejudice.” Going separate ways after graduation, they reunited decades later, discovering that they had both become spiritually-minded therapists.
Still committed to increasing healing, awareness and human understanding, Bill and Gretta combined their creative and psychological skills and knowledge to form Keene Murray Therapy. Working in tandem as well as individually with clients, they have built a thriving private psychotherapy practice in Brooklyn and created Hespera, a personal retreat for creativity and healing in upstate New York. From the desire to pass on to others what they have learned and continue the dialogue with kindred spirits, Practical Guides to Being Human emerged. They will be presenting blogs, courses, workshops and a series of books under that name. The books, written by Gretta and illustrated by Bill will be published in the coming year.
5 Reasons why Bill & Gretta are especially qualified to teach this course:
1. They are a couple.
2. They are psychotherapists with decades of training and experience.
3. They have worked with hundreds of couples as a couple.
4. They have developed unique tools and concepts using those experiences.
5. They enjoy what they do and make talking about difficult subjects fun!
